Welcome to the 25th Congress of the PPSA - JC

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Pan-Pacific Surgical Association - Japan Chapter, I would like to invite you to attend our 25th Annual Congress to be held in Bangkok at the Banyan Tree Hotel from November 1st to 3rd, 2008.

This Congress has been held yearly since 1984, providing an important opportunity for active discussion over a wide range of specialties by surgeons throughout the Pacific and Asian regions. In particular, meetings of the Association have given young physicians a valuable forum to present their recent research in English. Roughly 200 participants have attended the last few Congresses, including both physicians and paramedical professionals, and we hope to match or exceed this level of attendance this year.

Participants will benefit greatly from listening to various presentations by prominent surgeons on the latest and hottest topics. Each presentation will be followed by a brief discussion in order to initiate an exchange of ideas on both basic and clinical aspects of surgery. I urge you to take advantage of this chance to obtain up-to-date information at an international level beyond your own field.

The Banyan Tree Bangkok was voted in Conde Nast Traveler's Gold List (2005) as one of “The World’s Best Places to Stay”. I am confident that you will enjoy their top-notch hotel and convention facilities, in addition to being able to take in the wonderful sights and cuisine that Bangkok and all of Thailand has to offer.

I am honored to have the opportunity to organize this prestigious Congress, and I sincerely hope that you will be able to join us.
